A chemical can be soluble or insoluble. Solubility means that a substance can be mixed with a liquid to form a solution. It can also mean that a substance will just sit there in a lump or separate layer of a solid substance.

is pbco3 soluble? This is a question that has many answers. It all depends on conditions like temperature and solvent type. The solubility of a substance can vary between being nearly insoluble to highly soluble.

Elementary lead does not dissolve in water under normal conditions (20oC and pressure = 1 bar). However, it can be found dissolved in water in the form of PbCO3 or Pb(CO3)22-. It can also bind to sulphur in the form of sulphide and phosphor in the form of phosphate. Some well-known examples of water soluble lead compounds include lead sugar and lead(II) acetate.

PbCO3 is a white solid that is insoluble in cold water but is able to dissolve in hot water. It reacts with hydrochloric acid to form cerussite. It is an extremely toxic compound that can cause low to moderate systemic symptoms in humans including gastrointestinal contractions, jaundice, convulsions, nausea, or vomiting.

PbBr2 is a colorless, orthorhombic crystal that decomposes at 315oC and has a refractive index of 1.8004. It is insoluble in cold water but is soluble in hot water. It reacts with acids to form various salts including the basic carbonate 2PbCO2*Pb(OH)2. It is soluble in alkalies and acids but is insoluble in alcohol.
