Product Performance of ETB 2-Tert-Butoxyethanole:
ETB has mild skin irritation and low photochemical reactivity. Mainly used in the coating industry emulsion water dispersion coating, because the solvent HLB value is close to 9.0, its function in the dispersion system plays the role of dispersant, emulsifier, rheological agent, cosolvent. ETB can improve the drying speed, flatness, brightness, and adhesion fastness of water-dispersing coating. Because of its tert-butyl structure, it has high photochemical stability and safety. Applications of ETB 2-Tert-Butoxyethanol:
2-TERT-Butoxyeethanol was used as ethanol and defoamer to improve drying speed, flatness, gloss, and fastness to adhesion of water disperse coating.
Because of its tert-butyl structure, it has high photochemical stability and safety and can eliminate pinholes, small particles and bubbles in the paint film. The water-dispersible coating made of ETB has good storage stability, especially under low temperatures in winter. ETC can improve gloss. ETB can be used in amino and nitrocellulose paints to prevent “orange peel” markings and improve the gloss of paint by 2% ~ 6%. ETB as solvent made of ink, or as a diluent dispersant used in the printing ink, can greatly improve the rheology of ink, improve the quality of high-speed printing and gloss, adhesion. ETB can also be used as a fiber extractant. Alien-signal used ETB to extract 76% of polyethylene fibers containing mineral oil, which reduced the mineral oil content by 0.15%.
